Born Michael Dale Huckabee on August 24, 1955 to Hope, Arkansas natives Dorsey Wiles and Mae Elder Huckabee, Mike Huckabee is a politician in the United States of America and a Fox News commentator. Mike Huckabee was the governor of the state of Arkansas from 1996 until 2007. Mike Huckabee became a household name when he became a candidate of the US presidential primaries after announcing his candidacy in January of last year. He left the race in March of 2008 after being defeated by John McCain for the spot as Republican presidential candidate after losing the Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas and Vermont primaries.
Mike Huckabee is an ordained minister, the author of many books, a public speaker as well as a musician. He is a member of the rock band Capitol Offense in which he is the bass guitar player. Being an advocate for leading a healthy lifestyle, he is known for losing an amazing one hundred ten pounds.
Mike Huckabee has been married to his wife Janet for thirty-three years. Together the couple has raised three children, two sons, David and John Mark and daughter Sarah.
